About Terre Rouge & Easton Wines

Bill Easton runs two celebrated labels from one Shenandoah Valley cellar: Terre Rouge, devoted to Rhone varieties and among the Sierra Foothills' most acclaimed Syrah producers, and Easton, which honors the region's heritage with old-vine Zinfandel, Barbera and classic foothill reds. A former Berkeley wine merchant, Easton helped lead the Rhone movement into the Sierra in the 1980s and 90s.

Terre Rouge's high-elevation Syrahs, including the flagship Ascent, earned national acclaim and put Amador on Rhone lovers' maps, while Easton's Zins keep faith with the Gold Rush vineyards. The Fiddletown Road tasting room pours both sides of the house.
