About Thomas George Estates

Thomas George Estates is a family-owned, single-vineyard winery on historic ground in the Russian River Valley's Middle Reach, just off Westside Road near Healdsburg. In 2008, Tom Baker and his son Jeremy acquired the winery and vineyard of Russian River pioneer Davis Bynum, the first to build a winery on Westside Road and the first to bottle wine under the Russian River Valley designation, and set about honoring that legacy.

They renovated the original 1920s hop-kiln buildings into a modern, state-of-the-art winery, carved out spectacular wine caves, and replanted the estate vineyards while preserving prized old Pinot Noir blocks from Bynum's original 1970s plantings. The focus is world-class, small-lot, single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with Grenache Noir, Zinfandel and more, from estate sites like Baker Ridge and Starr Ridge, earning Gold medals and 90-plus scores.

Visits are memorable: cave tastings, vineyard patio tastings under century-old oaks, tours and wine safaris, plus vineyard guest houses for overnight stays. Scenic and dog-friendly.
