Thumbprint Cellars

Thumbprint Cellars is one of Healdsburg's most genuinely personal and winemaker-driven downtown tasting rooms. Scott Lindstrom-Dake founded the label in 2003 with a philosophy centered on direct involvement: he makes the wines himself, often pours in the tasting room himself, and maintains the kind of personal connection to every aspect of the program that larger operations inevitably lose.

The custom crush facility that Thumbprint operates allows Scott to work with small lots from both Napa Valley and Sonoma County sources, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and red blends that reflect his palate and convictions rather than market trends or commercial formulas. The wines consistently earn 90+ point reviews while remaining priced at genuinely accessible levels that reflect the small-producer economics of a self-run operation.
