Suttons Bay Wine Country
A waterfront village on Grand Traverse Bay ringed by many of the Leelanau Peninsula's most-visited wineries and tasting rooms.
About Suttons Bay Wine Country
Suttons Bay is a charming harbor village on the western shore of Grand Traverse Bay, and one of the busiest hubs of the Leelanau Peninsula wine trail. Its walkable downtown, marina, and beaches make it a favorite home base for visitors, with a remarkable number of wineries clustered within a short drive of the village center.
The surrounding hills hold some of the peninsula's best-known producers, from sparkling-wine pioneer MAWBY to Shady Lane Cellars, Ciccone Vineyard, and Silver Leaf. Cooled by the deep waters of Grand Traverse Bay, the vineyards excel at Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Gewurztraminer, and sparkling wine. Suttons Bay pairs tasting with lakeside dining and easy access to the rest of the peninsula.
