About Twomey Cellars, Healdsburg
Twomey Cellars is the Silver Oak family's exploration beyond Cabernet Sauvignon. When the Duncan family, who built Silver Oak into California's most celebrated Cabernet Sauvignon brand, wanted to pursue Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc with the same rigor and quality obsession that defines Silver Oak, they established Twomey in 1999 specifically for those varieties.
The Russian River Valley Westside Road location, just two miles from Healdsburg Square on one of wine country's most scenic byways, houses a striking modern building whose curving roof follows the lines of the rolling foothills, while glass walls open sweeping views of Mount St. Helena and Geyser Peak. The combination of architectural beauty and vineyard views has made the Twomey Healdsburg tasting room one of the most visually compelling winery destinations in the RRV corridor.
The wine program pursues single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley, Anderson Valley, and other California coastal AVAs, sustainable farming, small-lot production, and a focus on food-friendly wines that reflect the Duncan family's conviction that genuinely great wine should enhance the dining table rather than dominate it. The single-vineyard flight and Founders Flight (including Silver Oak) represent the most complete exploration of the Twomey-Silver Oak philosophy.
