About Veris Cellars
Veris Cellars takes its name from the Latin — veris, meaning 'of truth' (as in veritas) or 'of spring' (ver being the Latin season), a two-meaning name that declares both the estate's commitment to honest wine and the renewal that each vintage represents.
The Linne Road estate in the El Pomar District produces Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel from calcareous limestone estate vineyards. The Latin-truth philosophy extends to the hospitality: walk-in daily, dog-friendly, picnic-welcoming, priced honestly for what the wine genuinely is rather than for a category aspiration.
The double meaning of the name — truth and spring — captures the winery's dual character: wines made with honest intention, each vintage a fresh start from the same estate soils.
