Villa Appalaccia grows Italy on the Blue Ridge Parkway: the Rock Castle Gorge estate plants only Italian varieties, Primitivo, Sangiovese, Vermentino, poured at a stucco villa steps from milepost views, la dolce vita at 3000 Appalachian feet. Tastings pour weekend-forward hours at the villa, and the Parkway's Rocky Knob miles deliver visitors straight to the door.
Italian-only conviction and Parkway-side setting made it Floyd country's singular stop. The Apennines, appalachianized.
