About Wind River Cellars
Wind River Cellars is one of the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge's most established and visitor-friendly estate wineries — producing Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and red blends from vineyards on the slopes above the White Salmon River near Husum. The dramatic Columbia River Gorge setting provides stunning views from the tasting room.
The Gorge's unique east-west climate orientation — cool and wet in the west, warm and dry in the east — creates growing conditions of unusual diversity within a compact geographic area. Wind River Cellars farms vineyards that capture some of the most nuanced expression of the Washington side of the Gorge appellation.
The tasting room is open seasonally and welcomes visitors exploring the Columbia Gorge wine country, which is best combined with Oregon Gorge producers across the river in Hood River for a complete cross-state wine touring experience.
