About 32 Winds Wine

32 Winds has been crafting wines in Sonoma County for 15+ yearsthe original label of the Mascarin family operation, run today by President & Proprietor Mia MascarinThe portfolio sits under the unified Mascarin Family Wines umbrella, alongside the more recent Mascarin Wines label, named after Mia’s father, proprietor Ed Mascarin, with both labels focused on single-vineyard expressions and sustainable farming.

The winemaking is led by Matt Taylora third-generation Sonoman with 23 years of experience across France, Argentina, Switzerland, and Australia. Taylor uses oxidative winemaking (controlled oxygen during élevage), whole cluster fermentation for structure and aromatic depth, native yeast, minimal sulfur, and no fining or filtering. Biodynamic principles, honed during Taylor’s Swiss years, shape the farming.

The tasting room at 1010 Dry Creek Road, Healdsburg (literally next door to West Wines at 1000) pours a single six-wine flight that draws from both 32 Winds and Mascarin labels: Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé of Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, the single-vineyard 2019 Platt Pinot Noir, a Dry Creek Valley Red Field Blend (Angelo Estate Vineyard), and a Moon Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon. Bottle prices range $29–$98 with 15–20% wine club discounts. Contact: (707) 433-1010 · info@32windswine.com.

“We hope that these special wines add to the merriment and joy at your everyday celebrations with friends and loved-ones.”, Mia Mascarin, President & Proprietor

What Wino Notion Liked
Based on Wino Notion's on-site visit, Dry Creek Valley
Private, Intimate Setting32 Winds offers one of the most personal tasting experiences in Dry Creek Valley. Appointments are private and unhurried, perfect for couples or small groups who want real attention.
Outdoor, Scenic, and RelaxingThe outdoor tasting setup is gorgeous, with vineyard views and a peaceful, unhurried atmosphere that makes you want to linger. This is wine country at its most relaxed.
Cool-Climate FocusThe portfolio leans into what Sonoma Coast does best: elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from fog-influenced vineyards, with the kind of restraint you don't always find in California.
A premium private tasting that's worth it for the setting and the intimacy, if the higher price point fits your budget.

Wino Notion Tip: Pricey Tasting Fee
The tasting fee at 32 Winds runs higher than most Dry Creek neighbors. But you're paying for a truly private, appointment-only experience with dedicated attention, not a crowded bar pour. If you want an intimate setting over a high-volume tasting room, this is the trade-off.
🌿
Wino Notion Tip: Outdoor Tasting, Plan Accordingly
Tastings are outdoors among the vines, which is beautiful but means you'll want layers in the morning and sunscreen in the afternoon. The scenic, relaxed setting is the highlight of the visit.
