About A Tribute to Grace

A Tribute to Grace may be California's purest single-variety devotion: since founding the label in 2007, New Zealand-born winemaker Angela Osborne has made exactly one thing, Grenache. Unable to ripen the sun-loving grape at home, she crossed the world for it, sourcing her first fruit from the high-desert Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard, and every bottle since has been 100 percent Grenache, single-vineyard, native-yeast and minimally handled.

The name honors her grandmother Grace and the attribute Osborne holds dearest, with a dried Queen Anne's Lace motif gracing every label since the first vintage. The range now spans a family of site-specific Grenaches from across California, a rose, Grenache Blanc from old Thompson Vineyard vines, and even a traditional-method sparkling Blanc de Noirs named for her mother.

The tasting room sits on Bell Street in the heart of Los Alamos, a fittingly gentle, personal space for wines this quietly focused. Hours shift with the season, so check ahead before visiting, and expect a lineup that proves how many voices one grape can carry.

Nearly two decades of nothing but Grenache: Angela Osborne's single-variety devotion, poured gently on Los Alamos's Bell Street.
