About Albertina Wine Cellars
Albertina Wine Cellars is the Zmarzly family's mountain vineyard in the hills west of Hopland, where estate Cabernet Sauvignon grows between roughly 1,250 and 1,600 feet with twenty five mile views over southern Mendocino County. Everything is estate bottled from hand picked fruit off the family's own slopes.
Visits are by appointment and personal: owner and winemaker Fred Zmarzly leads walking vineyard tours that end with a tasting on an oak studded knoll, and summer picnic dates put you in the middle of the vines. Mendocino tasting is rural and unhurried; distances between stops can be long. Confirm current hours, tasting fees and reservation policies with the winery before you go.
