Alex and Wayne Winery at 37750 De Portola Road is a small family-owned estate on Temecula Valley's scenic De Portola Wine Trail, founded in 2008 by the Kenward family as a personal expression of their passion for wine and the oak-studded Temecula hillside terrain. The De Portola Road location places the winery on the western, cooler side of the Temecula Valley AVA, away from the busier Rancho California Road corridor and surrounded by the rolling, forested landscape that gives the trail its distinctive character.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay anchor the estate program, with the warm days and cool Pacific-influenced nights of the De Portola corridor giving the wines natural structure and balance. The family-owned scale keeps the operation intimate, a personal, unhurried tasting experience that reflects the founders' genuine love for the land and the wines they produce from it.
Open weekends from 11am to 5pm with walk-ins welcome, Alex and Wayne is a natural stop on a De Portola Road wine trail day, easily paired with neighboring estates including Lumiére, Lorenzi, and Flying Horse.
