Bagley's pours Seneca's east side without pretense: Dave Bagley's Poplar Ridge house built a following on solid estate wines and famously irreverent labels and slogans, wine without the attitude by explicit house policy. Tastings pour daily in season along the Valois stretch, and the running commentary at the bar is as much a draw as anything in the glass.
Anti-snob conviction and Valois-slope fruit made it the trail's plainspoken favorite. No tuxedos required.
