Balderdash Cellars is located in Richmond in the Berkshires, the western Massachusetts hill country that draws visitors for its combination of natural beauty, cultural institutions, and small-town New England charm. The winery produces wines from cold-hardy grape varieties and other fruit suited to the Berkshires' mountain climate, and the tasting room provides a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The Berkshires are home to Tanglewood, MASS MoCA, and some of the finest hiking in the state, and Balderdash adds a wine stop to a region that has traditionally been defined by its arts and outdoor recreation rather than its viticulture.
