About Bedell Cellars
Bedell is North Fork royalty: Kip Bedell's pioneering Merlot work earned him the nickname of the fork's Mr. Merlot, and under the late film executive Michael Lynne the Cutchogue estate added museum-grade artist labels, Chuck Close and Barbara Kruger among them, to sustainably farmed estate wines.
A White House inaugural pour and decades of critical respect anchor Long Island's fine-wine case. The fork's flagship, art collection included.
A generational handoff is underway at Bedell: Marin Brennan took over winemaking in 2024 after Long Island pioneer Richard Olsen-Harbich led the cellar for more than four decades. Brennan works with spontaneous fermentations, sometimes kickstarted with foraged botanicals, and also makes Corey Creek, the winery’s more casual second label with its own beach-hut-style Tap Room and porch music nearby.
