About Bee Hunter Wine

Bee Hunter Wine is the partnership of winemakers Andy DuVigneaud, born in the heart of Anderson Valley with more than two decades of winemaking behind him, and Ali Nemo, who arrived from Florida with a wine-sales background and never left. Together they have built a quiet cult following by hunting hidden vineyards across Mendocino and Sonoma counties, working only with growers who farm organically, biodynamically or sustainably.

Production is deliberately tiny, roughly 200 to 500 cases per wine, with minimal-intervention winemaking meant to keep a sense of place in every bottle. The range runs from Pinot Noir, the house specialty from coastally influenced sites, through Sauvignon Blanc, dry Riesling, rose and sparkling, a lineup that rewards tasting the whole flight rather than cherry-picking.

The tasting room sits on Highway 128 in downtown Boonville, a charmingly informal space with a dog-friendly private patio, walk-ins welcome and a tasting fee waived with purchase. The winery is woman owned and proudly welcoming, Sunday open houses sometimes come with puppies, and a winemaker dinner series adds seasonal menus through the year.
