About Big Basin Vineyards
Bradley Brown built Big Basin around a rugged estate on the edge of the redwood state park that shares its name, farming steep Santa Cruz Mountains slopes organically for Rhone varieties and Pinot Noir, wines of mountain intensity and savory lift that earned a serious critical following. The 2020 fires tested the estate; the commitment held.
Old-vine sources and cool-site Syrah round a lineup at home among the appellation's best. Redwood-country Rhones, made the hard way.
