About Blair Fox Cellars

Blair Fox Cellars is the ultra-boutique personal label of one of Santa Barbara's most decorated winemakers. A Santa Barbara native with a UC Davis viticulture and enology degree, Blair Fox chased Syrah through France's Cote-Rotie and Hermitage and a vintage at Haselgrove in Australia's McLaren Vale before returning home, rising to head winemaker at Fess Parker and Epiphany in 2005 and winning the Andre Tchelistcheff Winemaker of the Year award in 2008.

His own label, founded with wife Sarah in 2001, is Rhone devotion at micro scale: 500 to 600 cases a year of hand-punched, basket-pressed Syrah and other Rhone varieties, aged 24 to 28 months in barrel and another year or two in bottle before release.

The rustic-modern tasting room sits on Alamo Pintado Avenue in downtown Los Olivos, deliberately laid-back and unpretentious, and Blair and Sarah themselves are regularly behind the bar pouring, which is exactly the experience the label promises: family-made wine, served by the family.
