About Bradley Vineyards
Bradley Vineyards was founded in 1983 by brothers John and Richard Bradley, who planted nearly 30 acres of Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer and Riesling across the south and west facing hills of Elkton. For John's first 17 years as a vintner he sold the entire crop to other Oregon wineries, until a partnership with friends Mike and Vonnie Landt of River's Edge Winery let him start bottling a small amount under the Bradley Vineyards label.
In the early 2000s John added a Baco Noir block and grafted more Baco Noir onto mature Gewurztraminer vines, along with a Pommard clone of Pinot Noir, part of the work that helped earn Elkton its own AVA in 2013. After John's death in 2014, his wife Bonnie kept the vineyard going, and their children Tyler and Rachel have since returned to help carry the family label forward.
