About Breathless Wines
Breathless is a women-owned sparkling wine house in Healdsburg, founded by three Sonoma-born sisters, Sharon, Rebecca, and Cynthia, in memory of their mother, whose spirit gives the winery its name. Working with veteran sparkling winemaker Penny Gadd-Coster, they make traditional-method bubbles from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, aged for years on the lees in the manner of Champagne.
The tasting room, a short walk from the Healdsburg plaza, is a playful surprise: built from reclaimed shipping containers and dressed in glamorous 1920s Art Deco style, with a garden patio shaded by redwoods and a vintage Vespa parked out front. The signature experience is sabrage, where a guide teaches you to open a bottle with a saber, alongside production tours and blind tastings, all in a genuinely festive, celebratory spirit.
