About Changala Winery
Changala Winery is the Spanish-heritage family estate of the Changala family — their surname placed directly on an El Pomar District Paso Robles wine program that reflects two decades of commitment to one specific stretch of calcareous limestone Central Coast terroir. The family surname as winery name is the oldest and most personal branding choice in wine: we are accountable for this, our name is on it.
The El Pomar Drive estate produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Syrah, and Zinfandel from estate vineyards farmed with the hands-on attention that family-estate scale allows. The Changala family's Spanish-heritage identity connects naturally to the region's Spanish colonial history — Paso Robles itself named by Spanish missionaries, the Changala family's surname carrying its own Iberian thread.
The daily walk-in experience is dog-friendly, picnic-welcoming, and family-hospitable — the family surname applied to wine hospitality in the most direct way possible.
