Charles Spinetta Winery & Gallery is named for Charles Spinetta himself — his full Italian-heritage first and last name declaring both his personal identity and his Italian wine culture heritage on a Shenandoah Valley estate he established in 1980. The gallery component is genuine: Charles Spinetta is also an accomplished painter whose oil paintings are displayed throughout the tasting room.

The Steiner Road estate produces Zinfandel, Barbera, and Petite Sirah from Amador County estate vineyard sources alongside the art collection. The combination of winemaking and oil painting under one full name creates one of Amador County's more genuinely personal wine experiences — every bottle carries the maker's name and every wall carries his paintings.
