Chris James Cellars

Chris James Cellars is a family owned vineyard and winery planted in 2012 in Carlton, producing its first lots of Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc in 2015. The estate has since grown to 25 acres across 16 varietals, adding Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Dolcetto, Lagrein, Barbera and Cabernet Franc to a lineup built around preserving varietal character in the whites and silky texture in the reds.

The McMinnville tasting room on Third Street pours a flight of five wines curated weekly by an in house sommelier, changing every Wednesday, with the $25 fee waived for wine club members or a two bottle purchase. A second Estate Tasting Room sits in the coastal foothills near Carlton, open Friday through Sunday from spring through fall and by appointment year round.
