About Christopher Creek Winery
Christopher Creek Winery is one of the Russian River Valley's most quietly excellent and genuinely overlooked small producers. Founded in 1974 on the historic Limerick Lane corridor, where old-vine Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Syrah have been farmed continuously since the 1930s and 1940s, Christopher Creek focuses on the Rhône varieties and Petite Sirah that this specific section of the Russian River Valley produces with extraordinary depth and character.
The Limerick Lane corridor is one of the Russian River Valley's most historically significant old-vine addresses: pre-Prohibition heritage plantings of mixed reds, ancient Petite Sirah, and heritage Syrah that produce minuscule yields of concentrated fruit from roots that have been in the ground for 60–80+ years. Christopher Creek sources from these heritage vines alongside their own estate planting to produce wines that reflect the genuine agricultural character of one of Healdsburg's most important wine roads.
Dogs are welcome, walk-ins are invited daily, the tasting fee is honest, and the wines consistently over-deliver for their price. Christopher Creek is the insider's Healdsburg winery, the place that locals and returning visitors discover while the crowds are elsewhere on the Westside Road circuit.
