About Clos Saron
Clos Saron is the Sierra's natural-wine landmark: Gideon Beinstock, formerly of Renaissance Vineyard, farms a tiny plot at Oregon House in the North Yuba highlands, making minute quantities of Pinot Noir and idiosyncratic blends with no additions, wines that became cult objects in natural wine circles worldwide. The name honors his wife Saron's garden.
Production is minuscule, the farming closer to gardening, and the wines polarize and enchant in equal measure. One of California's most uncompromising cellars, hidden in the Yuba hills.
