About County Line Tasting Room
County Line Tasting Room is a wine tasting room and wine bar in Prosser, Washington, at the entrance to the Vintner's Village on Merlot Drive in the heart of Yakima Valley wine country. It was opened by acclaimed Washington winemaker Robert O. Smasne of Smasne Cellars together with Sean Tudor of 2Dor Wines, who jointly took over a former estate winery and now pour their labels side by side.
The room showcases hand-crafted Washington wines, from Chardonnay and Albarino to Cabernet Franc, Syrah and red blends, poured by the glass, flight or bottle, with winemaking done on site. Smasne is a prolific, nationally recognized Washington winemaker (named Washington Winery of the Year by Wine Press Northwest in 2013), and the room has also been known for an on-site kitchen serving lunch and occasional dinners.
Because tasting-room operations in Prosser's Vintner's Village change hands from time to time and some current listings indicate County Line may no longer be open, it is best to confirm the room's current status, hours and pours directly before planning a visit.
