Cronin was a Woodside cult in miniature: Duane Cronin made tiny lots of Chardonnay in his home cellar from the 1980s onward, bottlings from top Santa Cruz Mountains and coastal vineyards that critics ranked with California's best while production stayed almost implausibly small.
