Heart O' The Mountain is Alfred Hitchcock's old estate: the master of suspense owned this secluded Scotts Valley mountain property for more than three decades, entertaining Hollywood royalty at the hilltop home, and later owners planted its slopes to Pinot Noir, reviving a vineyard history that dates to the 1880s. The estate Pinots earned quick critical respect.
The Hitchcock provenance is real and the wines take the cameo seriously, estate-grown, small-lot, mountain-cool. A thriller of a backstory, resolved in the glass.
