Crooked Vine Winery is named for the crooked vine — the gnarled, misshapen vine that grows not in the straight, manicured rows of conventional trellising but according to its own irregular logic, twisting and bending as the seasons and terrain direct. The crooked vine is the vine of character: not the most efficient or commercially convenient plant form but the most individual, the vine whose irregular growth records its specific history of stress and recovery.
