About D'Art Wines
D'Art Wines takes its name from Dave Dart, who frenchified his own last name into d'art, of art, since he sees winemaking and his photography as different mediums with the same passion. He and his wife Helen built the winery on the Lodi property where they live, selling nearly all of their wine straight from the tasting room rather than through distribution.
Dave's photo artwork lines the tasting room walls and appears on the labels, alongside small lot reds anchored by estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon and a well regarded Barbera. Visitors wander past black iron gates and redwood trees to a grassy lawn with picnic tables, often greeted by the Darts' dog Maggie, open daily from 11am to 5pm with reservations required for parties up to six.
