About Dreamcote Wine Co
Dreamcote is the playful side of Santa Barbara wine: born in 2012 with a single ton of bright, off-dry Riesling made to pair with painfully spicy Thai food, and grown into a roughly 1,000-case label of low-alcohol, low-sulfur wines and hard ciders crafted by Brit and Ryan Zotovich. Carbonic reds, especially Gamay, and hand-bottled, undisgorged pet-nat bubbles are the calling cards, with cider fermented from fruit, hops and herbs grown on their own small farm in nearby Ballard.
Everything comes from responsibly farmed Santa Barbara County vineyards, and the tasting lineup changes constantly by design, split into a still flight and a sparkling flight served with sea salt kettle chips.
The petite tasting room sits at the corner of San Marcos and Jonata just off the Los Olivos main drag, with cozy indoor and outdoor seating that welcomes both dogs and kids, open Thursday through Monday. For a deeper dive, private tastings with winemaker Brit can be booked at the Ballard farm, or even aboard a boat in the Santa Barbara harbor.
