About Durant Vineyards
Durant Vineyards is part of Red Ridge Farms, a multi-generational family estate in the Dundee Hills that combines serious Pinot Noir production with something genuinely unusual for Oregon: an olive oil operation. The Durant family planted olive trees alongside their Pinot Noir vines and has produced some of the Pacific Northwest's most acclaimed artisan olive oils, making a visit here a distinctly different kind of wine country experience. Durant's tasting room and outdoor seating provide expansive vineyard views with clear-day vistas of Mount Hood and Mount Jefferson, alongside gardens, lavender, and olive groves.
The Pinot Noirs are produced from estate Dundee Hills fruit on the volcanic Jory soils that define the AVA's character, dark, rich, and structured, with the volcanic mineral quality that sets Dundee Hills wines apart. Winemaker Jesse Lange works with estate fruit from multiple blocks at different elevations and aspects, creating a portfolio that showcases the range within a single Dundee Hills address.
The farm store at Red Ridge is one of the most enjoyable stops in Oregon wine country, artisan olive oils, farm-fresh produce, local products, and wine tasting in a farmhouse setting with sweeping views across the valley. The combination of wine, food, and genuine farm character is genuinely distinctive.
