About Dutton Estate Winery
Dutton Estate Winery represents one of Sonoma County's most remarkable family farming legacies. The Dutton family has farmed the Green Valley sub-appellation of Russian River Valley for six generations — growing grapes that supply Williams Selyem, Gary Farrell, Dutton-Goldfield, and dozens of other prestigious Sonoma County producers. The name 'Dutton Ranch' on a wine label is a guarantee of exceptional fruit quality.
The family's own winery, founded in 1995, finally allows visitors to taste Dutton fruit expressed under the family's own label — Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah from the estate's most prized blocks across their vast 1,200+ acre Green Valley farming operation.
The tasting room offers panoramic views of the Green Valley floor and the coastal hills beyond — one of the more visually dramatic settings in the Russian River Valley. The wines show why so many prestigious California producers have relied on Dutton fruit for decades: there is a precision and clarity of terroir expression that comes from six generations of single-minded farming focus.
