About Echo Ridge Cellars
Echo Ridge Cellars is the Bales family's estate winery in historic Echo, Eastern Oregon, where a 1940s grain elevator has been reborn as one of the state's most distinctive tasting rooms, original carved-initial walls, glass floor panels over the old grain pit and all. Every grape comes from the family's 60 acre Firethorn Vineyard on the bluff above the Umatilla River, purchased in 2010, with Master of Wine Billo Naravane guiding the winemaking alongside daughter Berlyn Bales.
Eight miles from Hermiston and twenty from Pendleton, it anchors little Echo's revival with silo seating, summer concerts, weddings at Henrietta Station and even a guest house next door. Oregon tasting rooms tend to be small and personal, and many close early in the week. Confirm current hours, tasting fees and reservation policies with the winery before you go.
