About Erba Mountainside Vineyards
Erba Mountainside Vineyards was founded in the late 1990s by Oklahoma physician Paul Erba, who purchased a roughly 20-acre hillside property on the back side of Atlas Peak, above the valley fog line, and planted it to Bordeaux varietals matched to its soils. The first commercial vintage was released in 2003.
Winemaker Kristophe Anderson, who trained under Nils Venge at Saddleback Cellars and also makes wine for Gargiulo Winery, crafted Erba's Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and a proprietary red blend. As of this research, no current website, retailer listing, or vintage newer than the early 2010s could be confirmed, suggesting the label is dormant or no longer in commercial production.
Erba Mountainside Vineyards released Atlas Peak Cabernet from 2003 onward but shows no confirmed commercial activity since the early 2010s.
