About Envy Wines
Envy Wines pairs veteran winemaker Nils Venge, famous for the first Cabernet Sauvignon to earn Robert Parker's perfect 100 score at Groth Vineyards, with vintner Mark Carter of Calistoga's Carter House. The two founded Envy in 2006 on Tubbs Lane, and it's also home to the vineyard designated Carter Cellars label, a collaboration between them dating back to 1998.
The estate started in 2007 with a Sauvignon Blanc and three reds, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Bee Bee's Blend, since adding a Rose, Estate Merlot, Petite Sirah Port and Late Harvest dessert wine. Guests can taste on a Tuscan style patio with a view of Old Faithful Geyser, or step inside where tango music sets the mood, open Thursday through Monday by appointment.
