Erba Mountainside Vineyards — Spring Mountain Winery & Tasting Room

Erba Mountainside Vineyards is named for the erba — Italian for the grass and herbs that cover the vineyard floor between vine rows. The estate declares wine as a product of the complete botanical ecosystem: not just the vine but also the erba, the cover crops and native grasses that interact with the vine's root system, regulate soil moisture, attract beneficial insects, and form the complex biological foundation on which great wine is built.

The Spring Mountain estate produces Cabernet Sauvignon from volcanic and sedimentary mountain soils at high elevation, where the erba on the mountainside contributes to the soil biology that the vine's mineral character draws from.
