About Fableist Wine Co.
The Fableist is a collaboration between two Central Coast winemakers, Andrew Jones of Field Recordings and Curt Schalchlin of Sans Liege, built on a storybook premise: each wine is paired with one of Aesop's fables, its label illustrating the tale and its number in the catalog matching the fable's.
The wines deliver serious value, Paso-area fruit made with honest technique at everyday prices, with the fable theme carrying through corks and labels. Note: this producer appears in our catalog under several name variants (Fableist Wine Co., Fableist Wine Company, The Fableist); all describe the same collaboration.
