About Four Lanterns Winery
Four Lanterns is a warm, family-owned winery on Highway 46 West on the west side of Paso Robles, founded in 2013 by Steve and Jackie Gleason and named in honor of their four daughters, the lights of their lives, a theme carried through to wine names that each reference some kind of light. The estate spans two vineyards, growing organically certified Rhone varieties along with Bordeaux and Spanish grapes, for a wide, food-friendly range from Syrah and Grenache to Cabernet Franc, Picpoul Blanc, and even a sparkling Viognier.
The tasting happens in a renovated barn that opens onto a porch and a broad lawn with vineyard views, relaxed and family- and dog-friendly, with snacks and picnicking encouraged. In summer the estate hosts live music on the lawn and a Sunday Night Concert series with food trucks, and there is even a farmhouse on the property to rent for an overnight stay.
