About Ferrari-Carano Winery

Ferrari-Carano Winery is the most visually spectacular and comprehensively beautiful winery experience in the Dry Creek Valley. Don and Rhonda Carano, whose family built their fortune in Nevada's hotel and gaming industry before falling in love with Sonoma wine country, established the estate in 1981 with an ambition to create something genuinely world-class: the finest Dry Creek Valley winery, in the most beautiful setting possible, producing wines that would stand alongside California's very best.

Villa Fiore, the winery's centerpiece visitor facility, features five acres of manicured Italian gardens with 30,000+ flowering plants, underground wine caves, a 6,000 square-foot reception hall, and Il Terrazzo, the outdoor terrace where the Sunday Wine & Brunch series has become one of Sonoma County's most celebrated recurring culinary events. Sonoma.com specifically highlights Ferrari-Carano as one of 'The Most Beautiful Wineries in Sonoma County', the gardens alone justify a visit regardless of the wine.

The wine program justifies it further: the Fumé Blanc, made in the Pouilly-Fumé style with barrel fermentation, is one of California's definitive expressions of this variety. The Chardonnay and Siena red blend (Sangiovese-based, honoring the family's Italian heritage) have both earned consistent critical recognition. 1,500 acres of sustainable vineyards across Dry Creek, Alexander, and Potter valleys supply the program.
