About Fess Parker Winery & Vineyard
Fess Parker is one of the Santa Ynez Valley's most popular and welcoming estates, founded in 1989 by the beloved actor Fess Parker, television's Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone. Set along Foxen Canyon Road near Los Olivos, it remains family-run, and the wines lean into the region's strengths: Rhone varieties like Syrah and Viognier, cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and the crowd-pleasing Frontier Red. The 714-acre Home Ranch offers sweeping views of the Santa Ynez Valley, taken in from the tasting terrace or on a horseback ride across the property.
The estate is built for a relaxed day out, with a broad lawn, oak trees, and a gazebo made for picnics, plus a nod to Parker's frontier fame in the souvenir coonskin caps. Film buffs may recognize it as the Frass Canyon winery from the movie Sideways. It is a spacious, easygoing, family- and group-friendly stop at the heart of Santa Barbara wine country.
