About Foolhardy Vintners
Foolhardy Vintners is a boutique Walla Walla, Washington winery and the partnership of two friends, Jonathan Edelman and Dan Sogg, who share a love of food and classic wine regions. The label focuses on small-lot Bordeaux varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc, sourced from standout old-vine Columbia Valley vineyards.
The winemaking draws on the pair's experience in Burgundy and Bordeaux, favoring a fresh, food-friendly, balanced style with restrained use of oak and only about eight wines produced each vintage. In 2025 Foolhardy opened its first tasting room at 134 W Poplar St, in the historic 1905 McDonald building a couple of streets from the main cluster of downtown tasting rooms.
The room is generally open Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm, with the winemakers themselves pouring; walk-ins are welcome and reservations are appreciated. Hours can change seasonally, so confirm with the winery before visiting.
