About Sangiacomo Family Wines
Sangiacomo Family Wines at 1077 Broadway represents a remarkable moment in California wine history: the family that has farmed some of Carneros' most celebrated vineyard acreage for six generations finally opened their own tasting room in 2014. For decades, the Sangiacomo family supplied Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from their Carneros estate to dozens of California's most critically acclaimed producers — names like Kistler, Ramey, and Sonoma-Cutrer among them — while their own name appeared on no labels.
That changed in 2014 when the family launched Sangiacomo Family Wines, bottling estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir under their own name for the first time in six generations of farming. Wine made from the same fruit that premium producers have been competing to source for decades, vinified by the family themselves, at prices that reflect the estate's direct-to-consumer model. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are the focus, each expressing different blocks of the sprawling Carneros estate with site-specific nuance that only multi-generational vineyard knowledge can deliver.
Walk-ins are welcome daily from 11am to 5pm with a $25 starting fee. The Broadway Sonoma location provides easy access from downtown, and the tasting experience is one of the most historically significant and intellectually compelling in the entire Carneros and Sonoma Valley region.
