About Fore Family Vineyards
Fore Family Vineyards is a family affair in the fullest sense: Jim and Diane Fore and their son Eric grow the grapes, make the wines, design the labels and pour the results themselves. Producing since 2005, the family farms roughly 17 acres on Cobb Mountain in Lake County, raising Grenache Blanc, Albarino, Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel with sustainable methods, minimal inputs and a tractor where others reach for weed killer.
The public face of the operation is the Wine Room at 3924 Main Street in downtown Kelseyville, a 1929 building the family remodeled while preserving its character. The long earth-toned cement wall doubles as a rotating gallery that has featured local artists every month for more than a decade, and the room pours on weekends, Saturday from noon to 5 and Sunday from noon to 4, often with receptions and small concerts on the calendar.
Production stays small, around 1,000 cases a year, nearly all of it estate grown, with a few documented exceptions such as Carneros-sourced Albarino and Pinot Noir bottlings that the family has offered alongside the mountain wines. For travelers working through downtown Kelseyville, the room pairs naturally with the town's walkable main-street shops and makes an easy, unhurried counterpoint to the county's larger estates.
A Lake County producer on Cobb Mountain, not a Napa Valley winery, though the Fore family also sources some Napa and Carneros fruit.

The winery's own current wine list could not be reached during this research session due to a persistent access limit; wine names above come from third-party retailer tasting-note pages (Wine of the Month Club) and forefamilyvineyards.com's varietal list, not the current shop page - vintages and pricing should be confirmed directly with the winery rather than assumed current.
