Foxglove Winery — Edna Valley Winery & Tasting Room

Foxglove Winery is named for the foxglove — the Digitalis purpurea, the tall flowering plant with its characteristic tubular purple-pink flowers beloved by bees and hummingbirds. The foxglove is both beautiful and deadly (its cardiac glycosides are both medicinal and toxic), a plant of duality that has been harvested as both medicine and poison throughout history. The Central Coast estate produces Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Edna Valley and San Luis Obispo County's coolest wine-growing terrain with the foxglove's beauty-and-complexity philosophy the botanical naming implies.
