About Gard Ellensburg
Gard Estate Wines, established in 2006, is the Lawrence family's tribute to their Scandinavian farming heritage - 'Gard' means farm - grown at the family's Lawrence Vineyards on the Royal Slope near Royal City. Winemaker Matias Kusulas works entirely with that estate fruit, Syrah to Franc Blanc, giving every Gard room the same origin story in the glass.
The Ellensburg room pours in the historic downtown on North Pearl Street, a local's evening spot with hours running late into the week.
It is the closest tasting room to the estate's Royal Slope home ground, and the natural stop between Seattle and the Columbia Valley.
