About Novelty Hill-Januik Winery
Novelty Hill-Januik brings two independent Washington wineries under one roof in the heart of Woodinville Wine Country, about 20 minutes northeast of Seattle. Both are guided by Mike Januik, one of the state's most acclaimed winemakers, who spent years as head winemaker at Chateau Ste. Michelle before launching his own Januik label and partnering with owners Tom Alberg and Judi Beck to found Novelty Hill in 1999.
The two labels share a sleek, architecturally striking production facility and tasting room that opened in 2007, described as modern and stunning. The wines draw on premier Columbia Valley fruit, including the estate Stillwater Creek Vineyard, spanning Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, and more.
Beyond an expansive tasting menu, the winery is known for its hospitality: fireplaces, a bocce court, garden patios, and wood-fired pizzas from an in-house culinary team on weekends. Open daily, it is a cornerstone stop among Woodinville's many tasting rooms.
