About Granite Lion Cellars
Granite Lion Cellars is San Diego's closest award winning estate winery, growing 18 grape varieties on site in the boulder strewn backcountry of Jamul. Winemaker Miriam Valdez turns that fruit into Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Chardonnay, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel and more, with wines that have picked up accolades from the San Francisco Chronicle wine competition and locally as well.
The estate is organic and open daily from 11am to 5pm, with the entrance on Jamul Highlands Road via Lyons Valley Road. Tastings suit families and large groups alike, with great views, food available for purchase, wine by the glass and a pet friendly, picnic friendly welcome for the whole crew.
