About Haber Family Vineyards
Haber Family Vineyards was founded by Ron and Sue-Marie Haber, whose family previously built a New York glass-and-metal business (later W&W Glass, LLC) sold in 2005. In 2005 they purchased a roughly 5.5-acre property on Howell Mountain, planting just under 3 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, and released their first wine in 2006.
Winemaker Timothy Milos, who trained at Cornell and UC Davis, has made every Haber vintage since the 2006 debut, with wine produced at Brasswood Estate in St. Helena rather than an estate winery building. Reflecting the family's glass-industry roots, Haber bottles carry screen-printed designs instead of paper labels; production remains small, in the low hundreds of cases per bottling, sold mainly through a direct mailing-list allocation program.
