Hanna Winery & Vineyards

Hanna Winery & Vineyards is a true family story across two Sonoma County appellations. Founded in 1985 by Dr. Elias Hanna — a pioneering heart surgeon who bought vineyards in both the Russian River Valley and Alexander Valley — the winery has been guided by his daughter Christine Hanna since the late 1990s, growing it from a small estate operation into one of Sonoma County's most respected family wineries.

The Russian River Valley tasting room on Occidental Road is the primary estate location — a beautiful property with the famous ancient oak tree under which groups can arrange vineyard picnics. The Alexander Valley location near Healdsburg serves visitors exploring the northern Sonoma wine country.

Hanna focuses on wines that reflect each specific site: cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley; fuller, warmer Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc from the Alexander Valley. The Sauvignon Blanc — consistently one of the finest produced in Sonoma County — has been a signature since the early vintages.
